Great small historic museum with outstanding displays
This is one of the best museums I have visited - lots to see and explore without being overwhelming. The labeling is excellent - it's easy to understand what you're seeing with enough detail to explain without being overly wordy. There are more detailed exhibits on family trees, etc for those that want to get into the genealogy with more general exhibits for the casual visitor. The Civil War memorabilia was a surprise as I didn't expect to see that in Oregon. I loved the history of the museum itself - it was inspiring to see that a small dedicated group of individuals could develop and grow such a great site. Well worth a visit.

All Aces! One of the best regional museums we have been to in a while.
This museum is located in the former Tillamook administration/courthouse building. It is jam-packed with interesting displays and items from the area. It is clean, well-kept and some of the exhibits are things we never saw before. We spent more than two hours there and could have lingered longer. They closed at 4 pm. Peyton, the Director, stayed and talked with us after hours and was very informative. Highly recommend. Then you can go to Tillamook Creamery for dinner and ice cream!

Excellent
This was a multi-section museum with a large collection of the history of Blacks in Oregon. Who knew this? Totally worth the stop.

This museum is well worth visiting!
This museum is very well done, and we enjoyed everything on the three floors. They had some older "washing machines" (manual, of course!) that I remember were similar to what my grandmother used when I was little. The story of the area was told well and we liked the anniversary display for the county fair very much! This is a museum well worth visiting, and we also enjoyed the personal touch of the man at the desk who has lived in that county all his life. He pointed out to us his own art work that was displayed and also told us stories of his relative who was pictured in some of the photos.

An intertesting local history museum
This museum does an excellent job of telling the local history. Since the lumber industry played such a important role in the development of his part of Oregon there are several fascinating displays featuring tools used in the lumber industry. Come here if you are in the area.
