This 20-acre outdoor theme park, nestled in a forested setting just off I-5 in Salem, is something of an Oregon icon. It has been family owned and operated since opening its doors in 1971. Today, there are kiddy rides, slides and storybook lane for the younger set, and a haunted house, Big Timber Log Ride (the biggest log ride in the Northwest) and a roller coaster for the slightly older bunch.

Truly an enchanted visit
We spent about 2 hours here on a weekday summer morning with a family of 3. We explored the fairy tale village and Western town, then did the haunted house, Ferris wheel, bumper cars, and Ice Mountain roller coaster. Wait time for the roller coaster was 40 minutes but worth it. This place is full of delightful little fun things to do and see. My favorite part was the “crooked house” which is a trippy house of optical illusions. We spent $110 total on admission and ride tickets, plus another $30 on souvenirs. If you’re budget-conscious, check out the ride ticket prices online and plan it out because the rides do add up. We brought our own water and a few small snacks. Staff members are friendly and professional. For lunch afterwards, we went to In-and-Out, which is close by. Overall a fun family experience!

Making Childhood Memories
We took our girls to the Enchanted Forest in the late 90's w/Grandma & Grandpa and I remember it being cold, too hilly and I didn't like the haunted house (not my thing). But last week we took our grown girls and grandkids (infant, 2 & 4) and it was an amazing day! The weather was hot, but with the gorgeous trees providing a complete canopy, it was the perfect temp. and the entire park was immaculately clean. It's much bigger than I remember and it was a workout after 5 hours of up & down walking, but so fun. My legs hurt for two days afterwards, so be prepared for exercise. The kids (and adults) had a complete blast and the 4 yr old took her first rollercoaster ride (with her daddy) and loved it! There is a good coffee hut, but be sure to bring a picnic lunch because everything there is gross junk food. If I could change one thing it would be the storybook characters on the pathway - they are so creepy and could stand to be updated. Well worth the cost for a day of memory making!

Clean fun for everyone
It’s clean with a lot of fresh paint! I haven’t visited since before the pandemic, but I think the park is much more enjoyable now just because it seems very well kept. They added more food options, but we always bring a picnic. We even found an empty fairy hut to eat in on a decently busy Saturday. There was a large family spread out on picnic tables with multiple crock pots having a celebration. Everyone was casual and welcoming. No pressure to eat quickly and move on. I’m so excited they still do the theatrical play, but the Irish music performance was a great add. Especially in an air conditioned room! Both the play and music are a must do. I think it’s a high value for what you pay. We arrived at 10:30 and stayed until 4:30. And yes I was guilty of going down the slide once more at the end, just because there was no line. I give it five stars because I knew what to expect and had a really nice visit. There will be many who struggle with the layout and climbing the hill and steps. Thats understandable.

Magical, fun, and different!
We loved it! Four adults, taken back to simpler times. No, it isn't like one of the big parks. Based on nursery rhymes, you walk the paths, which do go uphill, visiting a tableau of each rhyme. Hokey and enchanting! .......Even though it was pretty hot, we were in the trees and felt very comfortable. We had our own lunch and enjoyed it at a picnic table in the shade. ...All of the employees were very nice and accommodating. The haunted house...ehhh. ....the roller coaster was much better than it looked like and the log ride was fun and wet!!! We arrived around noon and closed the park at 5. Wish we had had a bit more time but it was a great time. For kids , be sure they know it isn't based on rides and tickets cost about $5.00 per ride in addition to entrance fee. The lines can be long......You will be pushing strollers uphill alot so bring your muscles! Enjoy a wonderful day!

Enchanted day with the family
This place is a gem. I came here years ago as a kid, and now I brought my family. My 3-year-old and 7-year-old had a blast with the rides, and my husband and I loved the DIY, throw-back, old-school charm. Being immersed in the forest was amazing. Our favorites were the ice mountain bobsled coaster (a bit scary for the grown-ups because it is an old, loud, no-seat-belts coaster! But we would do it again!), the bumper cars and bumper boats, the Challenge of Mondor, and the remote-controlled pirate boats. The staff were SO NICE. When someone cut in front of us in line, they did not charge us for that ride (what?!). When we had unused tickets at the end of the day, they took them and reimbursed us (who does that anymore?!). When my 3-year-old changed her mind about her stuffed animal after we had just bought it (total 3-year-old move), the staff exchanged it without any trouble. Seriously, the staff here are so kind. Plan to spend money for admission and rides, but it is worth it. A very unique and special place for the whole family.
