We were traveling along the coast, celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. So delightful, where do I begin? We stumbled on La Maison after searching " best breakfast in Newport." We walked in and were charmed by the warm welcome, gorgeous pastries and the aroma of chocolate in the air. We ordered the Monte Cristo ( OMG!!!) The poached eggs with artichokes!!! Of course, we couldn't leave without pastries to go. The owner is the sweetest person with a beautiful heart, hearty laugh and a warm smile. In fact, we live this little gem so much, we made a second trip to the coast the following week. A little bird told me they will open for dinner hours soon. Cannot wait for that!

TRANSPORTED TO PARIS....THE BEST ON THE OREGON COAST!
Best breakfast on the west coast of Oregon! If we lived in Newport we would eat every meal in this restaurant...if we could! The pastries are to die for. Eggs Sardou with artichokes and ham....out of this world! THIS BY FAR IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN NEWPORT IF NOT ON THE WEST COAST OF OREGON!

Delucious find for lunch!
A wonderful surprise in a small Newport neighborhood, La Maison is a French bakery and Cafe. The food is original, fresh and superb. The Eggs Sardou were exceptional, the Roast Pork Sandwich was superb and the Pear Martini was delicious beyond measure! We'll return again and yet again!

La Maison, a gem on the Oregon Coast
Excellent pastries and breakfast. Small restaurant with limited seating, but you can purchase pastries at a walk-up counter. Their pastry dough is buttery, and toppings are not too sweet.

This used to be our favorite breakfast place in Newport. Now the quality of the food as well as the service has gone downhill. Overpriced for what you get. A shame.
