Room appeared to be new in design, but cheaply furnished and dirty furniture and carpet. The balcony was cleanest part of room with nice Adirondack chairs. Uncomfortable linens and pillows. Stay at The Gordon, Inn at 5th or The Graduate-Classy hotels with luxurious amenities and welcoming staff. Better location to activities in Eugene and located near great restaurants, breweries and shopping. Nothing special about Valley River Inn- disappointed. Also, customer service was horrible with check in process, Sweet Water restaurant and check out- rude and never a smile or welcome or thank you.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only issue was hearing the guests walking back and forth in their room located above my room. Also, I ended up not using the late check out but wasn't credited for it.

Loved our stay at Valley River Inn
Valley River Inn is in a very convenient location to shopping, eating, the U of O and downtown Eugene. Sweetwaters restaurant on the premises is fantastic especially if the weather's nice and you can enjoy the river outside. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and regularly made up.

Comfortable room on a scenic river
I have had a couple of nice stays at Valley River Inn recently. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and provided a nice retreat after busy workdays. The food at Sweet Water was delicious and the river view from the dining room was beautiful. Overall a great place to stay, very convenient and a great value.
