Adorable, and spotless
Cute and quaint little motel was clean and priced right. Our room had micro., frig, coffeemaker and coffee, TV, heat, AC. Great shower. Owners running the restaurant were friendly and pleasant. Cute restaurant with a cozy feel to the room and restaurant. I wish we had time to stay an extra day and explore the property.

Summer Lake was a great place to stop.
We have driven by for years and decided to try it on our latest trip. Very surprised on how nice it is. The room was quite and very comfortable. From the road we never saw the large pond in the back. Fishing and bull frogs. With nice chairs to sit and enjoy the sound of frogs and to watch the fish jumping. The restaurant hours need to be checked on for when they are opened . But when they are open the food is plentiful and very good.

Cozy Resort
This is a small, family-owned resrt. Seven motel-style units in a single building plus four cute cabins. We opted for a motel room as we were only planning to stay one night The lodge has a private pond replete with bass, frogs and passing deer. Across the road is access road yo big Summer Lake wetland and wildlife preserve. The room was clean and comfortable and had the basic amenities like microwave, fridge, coffee maker, etc.. Our room was spacious with two queen beds and views of pond and mountains behind and wetlands across the road. The dining room was nicely furnished, and our dinners and breakfasts delicious and well-prepared. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and generous portion sizes. The location is remote but in a lovely area.

A great place to relax
We have been going to the Lodge at Summer Lake for a number of years. It is the perfect way to slow down and relax. We stayed in Pine cabin and found it to be clean and furnished with all that we needed. Afternoons were spent on the deck, reading and watching the bird activity on the pond. We had a filling and delicious breakfast in the lodge each morning. The rest of the meals were cooked in our room. Summer Lake is a long way from the grocery store, so be sure to bring food for whatever meals you will not eat in the restaurant.

Old run down and poorly equipped
Nice location, next to wildlife refuge. The cabins are old and not equipped well. The kitchen utensils are terrible and few and far between. The heater keeps the small mobilehome warm but is as loud as a jet engine; turned it off at night for sleeping so down to 50 F at night. The wifi is unreliable and slow. Limited Verizon coverage so the wifi is necessary. The "cabin" had about 1/2" of dust stuck to the wooden walls in the bedroom. Dishes, and especially the dish washing gear were quite dirty. There is a full kitchen but you cannot take advantage of it because of the lack of utensils. The restaurant on site is very poor. Ordered a glass of "Del Rio" wine and had to send it back, must have been opened for a year. Generally poorly maintained inside and out. No table for dining. Uncomfortable furniture. The owners are nice, but the price they charge for such poor units means you should give this one a miss.
