This annual event celebrates the delicious wild huckleberry which grows in surrounding mountains. A community breakfast and all-school reunion kicks off the event from 7-10:30 a.m., the parade follows at 11a.m., craft and food vendors, entertainment, a huckleberry dessert contest and silent auction, activities and games for kids, a firemen’s barbecue, the free “world’s longest huckleberry sundae” at 3 p.m., mud volleyball, a 5 & 10K fun run/walk, a guided bike ride on the Grande Tour Scenic Bikeway, and there is a street dance at the local pub.
