On Sunday, August 10th, the National Forest Foundation invites Friends of the Forest volunteers to help refinish the benches in the amphitheater, and repair hiking trails that surround the back of the Lodge and link to the 40-mile Timberline Trail, which encircles the mountain. This event will be cosponsored by Timberline Lodge and Columbia Sportswear. Lunch will be provided, and a guest speaker will describe the remarkable history of Timberline Lodge. All ages are welcome, although this event is recommended for adults and families with children over the age of 7. The day's activities start at 9am and end at approximately 1pm.
