Willamette Valley Upcoming Events
On May 3, 2009 the Eugene Marathon takes place in Track Town, USA. This premier distance running event includes a marathon, half-marathon, 5k and kids' marathon. "Run in the Footsteps of Legends" along fast, flat and scenic courses, which take participants through six parks and over miles of beautiful trails along the Willamette River. Mark your calendar for Molalla's rollicking annual Buckeroo, a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo (July 2-5, www.MolallaBuckeroo.com). And come to the Great Oregon Steam-Up in Brooks (July 25-26 and August 1-2) at the Antique Powerland Museum (503.393.2424, www.AntiquePowerland.com). The event is dedicated to the preservation of antique farm machinery activities and includes flour milling, blacksmith demonstrations, log sawing, tractor pulling, a flea market and miniature railroad rides.
