Finding the Perfect Oregon Christmas Tree
This year, make finding your perfect Christmas tree a family affair. Bundle up the kids and drive out to one of Oregon's many Christmas tree farms, where the farmers are waiting with steaming hot chocolate in-hand, ready to help you pluck the best of the lot.
But of course if you're looking for the genuine hands-on experience, nothing beats venturing out into the forest and cutting down your own tree! This is exactly what our very own Carole and her family did on Thanksgiving weekend. Read her blog and watch the videos as the family hunts for the perfect Christmas tree at Willamette National Forest near Detroit Lake.

Introduction
Now that we made it through stuffing ourselves full of turkey on Thursday, what better to do with the rest of our long weekend then to go deep into the forest to cut down the perfect Christmas tree? We invited our friends, Dan and Jill, to join us because they had only gotten their tree from the grocery store parking lot and never actually cut down their own tree before, so this was going to be fun showing the ‘newbies’ the ropes!
