Oregon has a number of fantastic tent camping locations, perfect for the spring and summer seasons. Within the Oregon State Park network, you will find many quiet and serene locations, many of which are hike-in only. You can even bring your horse to a number of these parks.

1. State Park Campsites

For those looking to avoid overnight crowds and oversized vehicles, there are many off-the-beaten path campsites in Oregon with hardly an RV in sight. Within the Oregon State Park network, there are at least a dozen that offer few (if any) services, and some are hike-in only.

2. Horse Friendly Campsites

In Oregon, there are at least six state park campgrounds that have campsites with corrals for horses. Some have a vast network of trails; some are close to open beaches where horses and their owners can trot peacefully along the Pacific.
