The McKenzie River National Recreation Trail is a classic single track and spectacular scenic trail that follows the upper McKenzie River. The trail was designed as an easy, slow paced hiking trail for all ages . The entire 26 miles is now open for bicycles, including the Clear Lake Trail and the Water Falls Trail

The ride is perhaps on the most beautiful in the Willamette National Forest. Because of this beauty and ease of access from several trailheads along Hwy. #126, it is also a very popular trail.

The trail is divided into two segments-the McKenzie Bridge Trailhead to Trailbridge Reservoir and Trailbridge Reservoir to Santiam Wagon Road Trailhead.
