Bear Flat Trail
Blue River, Oregon
My Travel Journal
Bear Flat Trail (#3301) is a difficult 6.9 mile hike at an elevation of 4,720 feet. This trail goes through the upper portion of the French Pete drainage and around Olallie Mountain. Make a day loop trip or a two-day hike. Just after leaving the Olallie Trail hikers will pass through open grassy meadows. The trail is obscure so be alert and watch carefully for old blazes and use a compass. This trail offers solitude.
The trail ends on the French Pete Trail #3311, 1.5 miles west of the Pat Saddle Trailhead.
