Erath Vineyards

In 1969 Dick Erath was one of the first to recognize the grape growing potential of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The very first Pinot Noir grapes were planted in the Dundee Hills, now known for producing high quality, distinctive fruit with strong individual characteristics. Erath’s very first vintage in 1972 produced a Pinot Noir and Riesling that won Gold Medals from the Seattle Enological Society.

Since then, Erath Winery has played a major role in creating Oregon’s wine industry and solidifying its reputation as a world class wine region. In addition to making three designations of Pinot Noir, Erath produces distinctive cool climate white wines, including Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Dry Riesling and Gewürztraminer. These wines are crafted in the traditional dry Erath style, which impart a purity of fruit, bright mouth-watering acidity, and perfect balance. As the winery enters its fourth decade of winemaking, Erath perseveres to craft exceptional wines that reflect the rich history of the brand and the prestige of the region.
