Oregon's oldest iris nursery is run by fifth generation Oregonians.
Begun in the mid-1920's, C.J. Cooley and Rholin and Pauline Cooley published their first catalog in 1928. At one time the largest producer of iris in the world, Cooley's now maintains a four acre display garden open to the public along with adjacent production fields. During the last two weeks of May, visitors from around the world come to see "The World's Finest Irises." Hundreds of varieties of bearded iris bloom from about May 15 through mid-June.
