1. Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

Perhaps our most famous trio of waterfront courses is set along the rugged southern Oregon coast at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Built on a long stretch of sand dunes perched above the Pacific Ocean, the three courses- Pacific Dunes, Bandon Dunes, and Bandon Trails- are designed to exist in tandem with the area's natural, and diverse terrain, including meadows and forests. Take a long weekend and play all three courses; the resort offers plenty in the way of accommodations. Just remember to rest-up because there are no golf carts here.

2. Running Y Golf Course

Located in the Southern Oregon city of Klamath Falls, Running Y is set among beautiful meadows, scenic wetlands, woodlands and lakes, and is surrounded by rising mountains off in the distance. This Arnold Palmer-designed golf course is a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, which means the course strives to preserve the natural area in which it is set. But enough about the natural beauty- this championship course has five tee boxes and offers 18 holes of spectacular play. Plus, it's part of a larger ranch so you may explore miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as horseback riding, fly-fishing, lake-fishing and so much more.

3. The McKenzie River Golf Course

Located in the Willamette Valley city of Springfield, The McKenzie River Golf Course is a 9-hole public course that is chock full of water features, including the beautiful McKenzie River, which flows along the course as well as a creek that comes into play on more than a few holes. Keep your eyes peeled for abundant wildlife along the shores, and the greens.

4. Meadow Lakes Golf Course

Prineville's Meadow Lakes Golf Course crosses the scenic Crooked River four times, and golfers actually play alongside the river on three holes. Add some 10 ponds that come into play throughout this course and you've got a lot of waterfront golf! This 18-hole championship course, and its beautiful clubhouse, are located in the high-desert region of Central Oregon. It has been home to many championships and won numerous awards, including the Golf Digest Environmental Leaders Golf Award.
