The Oregon Redwoods Trail, which starts on the Oregon Redwoods Trail - Barrier Free Trail #1106 along Peavine Ridge in the Winchuck River drainage, loops down to the west into upper Moser Creek drainage to access a grove of majestic old-growth redwood trees. Interpretive opportunities will include old growth trees/ecology, fire history, wildlife viewing, and botany. Redwood trees found on the Chetco Ranger District represent the only coast redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens) found in the Pacific Northwest Region, located at the limit of their northern range. The trail is a moderately challenging day hike opportunity which when combined with the Oregon Redwoods Trail - Barrier Free #1106 provides a loop.

Nearby camping opportunities include the Ludlum House Recreation Area and the Winchuck Campground.

Facilities at the trailhead include barrier free parking, picnic tables, fire rings, toilets, and trash collection.
