On Saturday, June 21, Cricket will host a free, public event at the Rose Garden Arena at which visitors can view one of only 25 surviving copies of the Declaration of Independence.
Portland’s June 21 event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with local celebrities and dignitaries reading the Declaration of Independence outside the Rose Garden Arena. Visitors will then be able to enter the Rose Garden and make their way up to the Lexus Club Level, where the historical document will be on display until 5:00 p.m. In addition, 30 pieces of artwork from the winners of the Art of Politics competition will be displayed in the rotunda. Various local entertainers will perform live throughout the day. The first 200 people to the one-day event will receive a free commemorative gift.
