Portland Metro Upcoming Events
Thanks to Northwest Oregon's lush winter rainfall-not to mention the impressive snowpack that adorns nearby Mt. Hood (just 50 miles away)-the Greater Portland area is marvelously verdant. From the rushing waters of the Columbia River to the area's Pinot-producing wineries, amazing natural assets surround the region's urban center.
West of the city are the farms and vineyards of Washington County wine country and scenic Hwy. 30, which meanders along the Columbia River toward Astoria and the Pacific Ocean. To the east are historic Oregon City and the rolling foothills of Mt. Hood. And in every corner, Greater Portland offers top-notch places to stay the night, from historic properties to hip hotels.
