1. Downtown Portland

Your shopping odyssey starts in downtown Portland, a festive area complete with cafes and coffee houses - perfect when a respite is needed (and always welcoming for shopped-out husbands)! Enjoy the holiday season and subsequent white sales at Nordstrom, Meier & Frank, Saks Fifth Avenue, Ross and more!

Find all your favorite stores in Pioneer Place, or in the nooks and crannies of this riverfront city. Take MAX to Saturday Market for hand-made crafts, artisan work and colorful street performers. Enjoy a night in a Portland area hotel (ask about Big Deal packages) to rest your tired feet before hitting the stores again, a few miles south in Sellwood. This is Portland’s premiere antique district, with lovely restaurants and natural food stores interspersed. Bring your pick-up truck, SUV (or moving van) to truly benefit from the interesting home furnishings to be found here. But don’t fill it completely! Eat a hearty ethnic lunch in Sellwood, or a few miles south in Lake Oswego.

2. Lake Oswego

Then scour Lake Oswego's upscale, elegant boutique and home decorating shops at the Lake View Village. Pick up that great outfit or perfect centerpiece for any special occasion or party gathering, then loop around to I-205 for coffee, refreshment and more shopping at Clackamas Town Center, one of Oregon's largest malls. Check in at a local area hotel and get in that last night shopping, dining and a movie, or just relax. If you’re heading north, take a spin around Lloyd Center Mall before leaving Oregon and return home with a maxed credit card, a full vehicle and a warm heart. (And remember, the shopping season never ends in Oregon - with year-round tax free shopping!)
