During King Tae Jong’s glorious reign, the royal family sought relief from the tribulations of daily life and retreated deep within the palace. They found solace in the seclusion of the secret royal garden, BeWon. As the Joseon Dynasty’s favorite retreat, they used BeWon for outdoor feasts and celebrations — the cares of the world temporarily forgotten amidst the garden’s tranquility. We hope to invoke the essence of this forgone age in presenting authentic Korean recipes along with a few modern touches. Enjoy our cuisine and partake of an experience previously shared only by members of the Korean royal family.
