The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club
Aloha, Oregon
My Travel Journal
The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club is located just 20 minutes from downtown Portland on the edge of the Willamette Valley’s famous wine country. Individually designed by acclaimed architects Bob Cupp and John Fought, The Reserve’s two courses offer 36 holes of challenging play.
Both designers worked independently to make The Reserve’s two 18-hole championship courses distinct from one another. Fought’s South Course features rolling green hills and native trees that are pure Willamette Valley, while Cupp’s North Course offers a coastal dune feel.
A unique rotating format allows public play at both courses. For the first half of each month, the South Course is open to daily fee play, while the North Course is reserved for members and their guests. From the 16th to the end of the month, the South Course becomes private, while the North Course opens to the public.
The Reserve has been instrumental in bringing championship golf to Oregon. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in August, 2007, the club played host to the Fred Meyer Challenge from 1998 to 2002, and the JELD-WEN Tradition from 2003-2006. The JELD-WEN Tradition is one of the five “majors” on the PGA Champions Tour.
If you’re looking to improve your game, sign up for a private golf lesson or a group clinic. The Reserve offers a variety of camps throughout the season. The Reserve’s 15-acre practice facility and Golf School offers state-of-the-art golf equipment and the finest PGA teaching professionals in the Northwest.
At the end of your round or lesson relax in the beautiful chateau-style clubhouse, where The Vintage Room Restaurant offers the finest in Pacific Northwest cuisine and wines.
