Our Whale Watching Spoken Here program focuses on the peak times
for gray whales migrating past our coastline, which happens during winter
break, (Dec. 26 – Jan. 1, southbound) and spring break (Mar. 24 – Mar. 31,
northbound). We also watch whales during summer because some whales
don’t migrate all the way to the Artic. They stay and feed along the northwest
coast until November when they rejoin the other whales migrating south to
the Baja for mating and birthing.
Be sure to stop by the Whale Watching Center in Depoe Bay during the Whale Watch Weeks. They're are open daily during the watch weeks; May 1 - Sept. 30, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily, ; and Oct. 1 - April 30, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wednesday - Sunday
