There are many and varied fishing and boating options at the coast. Take a whale-watching boat tour in Depoe Bay, home to resident gray whales. Or, head farther south to Brookings for a guided deep-sea fishing trip.
Many of the coast's small towns are home to charming restaurants that overlook the Pacific and serve fresh seafood in cozy, quiet spaces. And if you're feeling adventurous by day there are a number of great surf spots, hiking trails and recreation spots for all-terrain vehicles.
