Fourth of July in Hood River is free and fun for the entire family. Start with an old-fashioned Fourth of July parade in Hood River Heights at 10 am and watch classic cars with themed floats pass by, throwing candy to all the spectators. This year's theme is from the Three Muskateers, "One for all and All for One," depicting the spirit of community in our history. The parade ends at Jackson Park, where there is a huge festival with live music, games, BBQ, a dunk tank, old-fashioned tug of war and potato sack races. The day ends at dusk with a spectacular fireworks show over the Columbia River in the heart of the Gorge.
