Hood River Distillers has a rich and colorful history dating to 1935 when it began making fruit wines and brandies from the apples, pears and berries that were going to waste as excess from the valley's abundant harvests. Today, HRD is the largest and oldest distillery in the Northwest with a production capacity of five million cases annually.
