Heppner, Oregon is an Irish community that makes celebrating their Irish heritage an annual tradition. It is always celebrated the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day. In 2009, the 27th “Wee Bit O’ Ireland” St. Patrick’s Celebration will be held On March 13-15. This weekend includes family flags hung throughout the town, a “great green parade”, sheep dog trials, Irish Bowling competition (just to name a few), plenty of Irish music and entertainment and lots of things to see and do.
