The excursion train will take passengers from Minam down the Wallowa River Canyon on what is being called the "Fish Train." Each trip has space for 25 fishermen, who will be dropped off at one of six stops between Minam and Kimmel to fish to their hearts content.

The train leaves Minam at 7 a.m., sits at Kimmel for several hours, then departs for Minam at about noon, arriving at 12:45. People fishing can ride from one hole to another or take a break on the train. At 1:30, the train begins its afternoon run, leaving Minam and heading for Kimmel again. The train will leave Kimmel for the last trip to Minam at 3 p.m., picking up fishermen along the way and returning them to Minam around 4:30.

The full day fishing trip, including a hot lunch, is just $65 for adults and $15 for youth under 14. Half day trips, without lunch are $30 for adults and $10 for youth under 14.
