Malheur County Fair & Rodeo

The Malheur County Fair and Rodeo began in 1909 as the Ontario Corn Festival. It was organized by the Malheur County Agricultural Association to promote corn production. The Malheur County Fair has now become one of the Pacific Northwest's premier county fairs, with an annual gate count of approximately 23,000. The fair celebrates a diverse array of agricultural and homemaking accomplishments, and showcases the region's cultural product. State apportionment and fairgrounds admission provide the largest revenue shares in the annual budget, while other revenue come from several sources of funding.. The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance is gearing up for the second annual JUNIPER JAM - The sweetest little music festival in Eastern Oregon. The big event will take place on Saturday, September 4, 2010 (that’s Labor Day Weekend) at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds in Enterprise, Oregon. This fun-filled day of music starts at 11:00 AM and continues non-stop all day until about 10:00 PM. Festival goers will enjoy many styles of music, including folk, country, jazz, Americana and blues, as well as great food and drink, plus children’s activities.
