Spring brings excellent skiing conditions at Mt. Bachelor, and marks the opening of golf season. Celebrating both is the annual Subaru Race and Ace Challenge (May 3), where participants ski or ride a gated racecourse at Mt. Bachelor, followed by an 18-hole golf scramble at one of Sunriver Resort’s championship courses.

Sunriver is also host to the JELD-WEN Tradition (August 11-17), the first major championship on the Champions Tour, which will tee off at the spectacular Crosswater Club Course. Another popular event is the Bite of Bend (June 21-22), free to the public, where Central Oregon restaurants showcase the foods of this region. Come to enjoy a wide array of activities including live entertainment, beer garden, wine tasting, and Iron Chef Competition, not to mention local food booths offering “bites” of their locally created provisions.
